Maxxum 28-135 f/4 Front Tube Excessive Play Repair

The front tube of this lens is held on by three screws with bushings that move in a
machined slot in the body of the lens. If there is excessive axial play in the front tube the screws are likely loose or the bushings worn. The screws may eventually fall out and damage other parts of
the zoom mechanism so it should be repaired.

Thanks for the instruction. But i made mistake where i removed middle element with iris then i able to fix it back. the problem is after assemble the whole lens camera unable to focus subject after 100mm zoom range camera able to focus correctly. Can you help me to correct the focus problem. thanks!

Thank you! Extremely useful to me as on my lens some of the small screws have come loose. This seems to be a problem with these lenses. I hope I can remove the contact strip without damaging it, as this has been my problem in the past. Thanks again Charles charlesfrizell@yahoo.co.uk
