Converted Zeiss Microscope

A salvage Zeiss inspection microscope is modified by cutting off the head assembly and attaching a mounting plate for a Vivitar modular bellows.

This microscope has a very large stage with built in fine X-Y control with over 3 inches of travel in each direction.
Coarse and coaxial fine adjustment for focus on the microscope body.

Bellows setup allows variable tube length, prime focus imaging as well as use of an eye piece for projection with a simple adapter.
Vivitar Rack and Pinion allows variation of lens to subject distance for lenses up to 50mm.

Additions to this project will be polarizing attachments as well as fiber optic and LED lighting.
