Even though I was born in Amsterdam and still do live here, loving the city, I just can't help to find these provocative things to be 'not my taste' to say it in a decent way... heterosexuals don't do these things either so why should homosexuals so explicitly 'show off' this way... if they do not want to be discriminated, first step would be getting rid of these kind of 'celebrations' which I believe sometimes even cause discrimination by some people... no offense to anyone who has homosexual feelings but just this way of expressing it is not the way to show you're as 'normal' as you fight for to be seen as by other people... I'm not telling people I'm hetero so why should a homosexual show that he is... just to express frustrations?? Better try to work and live like anyone else and don't talk about your sexual preference when no one asks for it (same goes for heteros making stupid sexual oriented jokes)... one more thing I don't think is good is that whenever people say they have those feelings a lot of people will 'promote' them expressing it and being proud of it... being gay sometimes almost looks 'trendy' which definitely makes it very 'cheap'. Message to gay people (especially the young ones): Don't let other people talk you into being gay. Lots of people (esp. in puberty) have mixed and weird feelings about 'who' they like and feel attracted to or not, don't let society easily 'make' you gay while you're probably not and just in an insecure time of your life... don't let the world mislead you and seduce you into wrong ways...
