We met in back of Major's Coffee Shop parking lot in Pine Valley at 10:00 AM Saturday morning. From there we biked directly to Lake Morena; about 12 miles, dropped off our camping gear and biked around the area. We then set up our tents, relaxed a bit and then walked into "town" for dinner. Back at the campsite later that evening, we chatted around a blazing campfire trying to store up the heat in preparation for what turned out to be a mighty cold night. The temperature dropped down to 32 degrees durning the night!
On Sunday morning, we emerged from our damp and very cold tents, hiked out to "town" for a warm breakfast and not so hot coffee. Meanwhile, while we were warming up, our tents were drying out in the morning sun. We then returned to the campsite, packed up and rode back to Pine Valley.
