I spent a bit of time in San Marcos today trying to find something to photograph for a
competition sponsored by the San Marcos Greenbelt Alliance and our photo club. I was not
active last year, but would like to participate this year. The temperature was near 100, so
I will go back earlier in the day for my next outing.

Please critique these two for me. Thanks.

The light is super on the first. I lean toward the color and detail in the second as more eye-catching. Be careful in that heat P.

I agree with Pepe and Laine. The light spot was the first thing I saw. Otherwise, outstanding shot!

I think the thistle (or seed pod) is very nice. It just pops out at you.
