San Marcos, Texas

A lunch of crawfish etouffee on the deck of Joe's Crab Shack on December 2, a good book in my hand. Who could ask for anything more.
The restaurant is on this body of water which is created by over 200 crystal clear springs pumping over 200 million gallons of water daily,
thus forming the headwaters of the San Marcos River.

Aquarena Center was formerly a resort called Aquarena Springs. It is now owned by Texas State University and is an educational center and ecological treasure.
