Wimberley, Texas

Today I attended the funeral of a very fine gentleman. He was a career Air Force officer who was a navigator in World War II and served in Korea and Vietnam. After retirement he was a professor at Texas State University for several years, and then served the community of Wimberley as a locksmith. He was a husband of 55 years to the love of his life, Rose, who preceded him in death, a father to three fine children and grandfather of five. He always left you with a smile on your face. He will be sorely missed.

The Confederate Air Force did a fly by in his honor.

I get choked up at fly-by's, especially if they do missing man formation. It's quite an honor to have this from the CAF.

Terrific tribute. And it is always sad when our heroes pass on.
