Petesie, Nice gallery. I haven't had much succes photographing butterflies. There is a relative of this plant called the "Red Mexican Bird of Paradise" and one is in my neighborhoodhttp://www.pbase.com/hookem/image/48422139. I'm hoping to grow one this Spring.

I'm glad you have the Pride of Barbados back in your butterfly garden. They have the most vibrantly beautiful colors! I love the way this photo catches the butterfly after he landed but his wings haven't stopped yet. Impeccable timing!
