This is Von, one of John's loving caregivers. Von works at Deer Creek on weekends.
That is where we came to know and love her. She is with us three days a week.
John had not been out of bed for three days, but this morning he wanted to get up.
He stayed up for about half an hour, and when Von helped him back into bed I saw
this moment between them and asked their permission to preserve it.
(She says John's head is her good luck charm.)
We feel very blessed to have Von and Andre, our other caregiver, to help us.

I was reluctant to use this for my photo today, but Von wanted me to share it.
So I am doing it as a tribute to all the wonderful caregivers who have
shared our journey with us.
