First, realize this guy is only about 1 inch long...now for the story.
This morning when I was brushing my teeth, he tumbled out of the overflow opening
in my sink. Any sane person would kill him, but being your average PaD addict I
ran for the camera. Now my main concern is how many brothers and sisters he has.
I make sure none of the linen's on John's bed touch the floor, and I
sleep with my house slippers on my bed....I'm very careful! Our yard is designated
a National Wildlife Habitat, and A Texas Wildscape....but I don't protect these guys!
He is now history.

Seeing one always makes my skin crawl. I've been bit several times and it hurts like heck! We use sticky tape (meant for mice) to catch them, as we don't use pesticides either. One year we caught over 50! I think that was the year I got bit twice. Haven't seen one yet this year. Hoping for a light year.

I would be tempted to move home. The worst we get are honeybees - and I can just about tolerate them - but scorpions!!!!

Oops, I never should have shown this to the kids. Now Abbie is afraid to go brush her teeth :) ICK!!! Alec is upset that you schmushed him. After all "God created that scorpion". Of course, he might feel differently if he gets stung!

Gulp...these guys are NASTY! But your picture is priceless! Way to go....

Ya know Petesie, some around here give a little yelp at spiders.
I can take the spiders, but these things will pretty much do me in. I'm glad you did it to him. GREAT shot.

My PAD would have been the after version of your before.

At least you got your priorities right Petesie, photo first then, whopp. :>)

Eh... Lovely. and to think, I get squeamish around the rubber versions of these fellows. Way to go, Petesie! Once again, you've proven your -- um, professionality? (Rather like my "ooh, I've cut my finger, where's the camera" reaction) ;^) We have ant traps up here -- what do you have?!?

Fabulous shot. Could be in a science book for children. It's that time of year where everything is coming out of its hiding place--snakes will be next.
