HOPE HE WASN'T AS DISAPPOINTED AS I WAS!

Did you ever take a photo you thought would really be good and it wasn't?
That's what happened here....the morning was beautiful, the sunrise perfect
and I only snapped one because I was running late. It was very blurred.
I think this is "Chalk and Charcoal", or something like that in Photoshop.

Actually the original looks a little like Gaussian Blur! http://www.pbase.com/image/34769461
Another try: http://www.pbase.com/petesie/image/34733165

Nikon Coolpix 4500
1/16s f/5.1 at 32.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

I think this is what they call "making a silk purse out of a sows ear!" Really nice save. I think we can all relate to your frustration!

I do that all the time! I actually generally take between 60 and 120 shots a day because many look much worse than this. I think you rescued this very well:)

Done it lots Petesie, then I kick myself for only taking one shot :>( However, this is a good save. I like it very much.

Is that a UFO in the upper right hand corner :-)

Oh, this happens to me frequently. I'll take a snap, and it'll look beautiful in the tiny LCD window. Then when I uploaded it I'll be so disappointed!

Nice save, here, Petesie. I like your rendering.

You turned the slightly oof pic into a great shot Petesie. A grey morning fishing is something every fisherperson knows. Good job!
