Tower of the Americas, San Antonio, Texas

I was born in San Antonio and never lived anywhere else until I moved to Wimberley
eight years ago....I still love the city. I accompanied my daughter and
grandchildren on a field trip today to see the T Rex exhibit at the Institute of Texan
Cultures and enjoyed immersing myself in San Antonio a bit...

The tower was built for Hemisfair '68, the World's Fair held in San Antonio in 1968.

Nice image, Petesie, but I have two (rhetorical) questions... why is it surrounded by European flags, and where is the UK's flag?

I love the perspective you got on this; everything angling up toward the sky (not so hard when you're not 20 feet tall, I guess!).

You did good today petesie... I like all of these shots but I think my favorite might be the one where you shot this from below. Really really nice photos and fun to see a glimpse of where you lived.
