Waiting

First I want to thank everyone for their kind comments yesterday. I really appreciate it.

This was a bad news, good news day. The good news is that John is sore, but nothing broken.
The bad news was the day started with an 8:00 a.m. telephone call that he was on the floor, having
fallen getting out of bed unaided. He is supposed to call for help. He was hurting, so we went to the ER.

As I sat in the hallway waiting while he was in X-ray I looked up and saw myself and it brought back all of the hours spent this way....so I went to the truck and got the camera....good thing since I didn't get home until 9:00 p.m. The long wait was because of something they found on the X-rays not connected to the fall and they ended up doing a bone scan. Hope we get good news with that, also. I will get to see your PaDs in the morning....I'm going to go for a long soak, candles lit, and a book in hand. Thanks again to everyone.

Karen is right... there is a stark lonely feeling here that you've captured. My thoughts continue with you. Go enjoy your soak, we'll take over the worrying for a while ;-)

Anyone who's been here recognizes this shot though not everyone might see it, as you did. (A photographer's eyes are always open.) You certainly captured the day -- to paraphrase Karen, 'the lonely halls'.

Excellent photo. You've captured something most of us have experienced once we've spent a few years on this earth. You're a strong woman, Petesie. I'm glad you're wise enough to take care of you too, so that you have the strength for John.

Excellent photo; the fish eye look captures the loneliness. Hope things are improving.
