Poor imitation of a beautiful butterfly!

I give up....I was determined to get a butterfly photo today,
but there are so few, and those that do stop by are camera shy, so
I settled for this cute little guy on a Texas perennial hibiscus.

John is better and came home today. Thanks for all of your concern.

Now this is an interesting specimen. I've heard of stink bugs but never seen one before. I like this shot -- has an interesting quality about it. Glad to hear John is back home and doing better. I've been wondering but didn't want to pester you with questions.

Very nice. I love the contrast between the bright pink, and the green in the background. Btw - does this bug exude a pungent odor? It seems like we called them "stink bugs" when we were young.

Yes, it is a poor imitation of a butterfly! But I'm sure its mother loved it anyway... Tough shot against that hyper-hot pink. He does look kind of transparent.
