On Wednesday afternoon a few of us went on an optional tour near Auckland.
We visited the Arataki Centre where you have a panoramic view from the Tasman Sea to the Pacific Ocean, saw the beautiful Waitakere Range,cascading waterfalls, we walked on the black sand beaches and in the beautiful rainforest and saw remnants of the unbelievable kauri trees that once were so plentiful. All within a half hour of the city of Auckland.
The drive along the rugged West coast was awesome.
