The sailingvessel Noorderlicht took us around Spitsbergen in 15 days during the summer of 2010.
This beautifull ship was our hotel, house and shelter and it has accomodation for 20 passengers and a crew of 5, including the expeditionleader Jacob van Weele.
We had a wonderfull time, exellent weather and lots of wildlife, with highlights as Polar Bears, Blue Whale, Beluga's, Walrusses and birds like Ivory Gull and Sabine's Gull.
The scenery was overwhelming.
Our party of 18 people enjoyed the delicious meals, made by our "Queeen of the kitchen", Sonja.
