January 12

This barn with a gracefully arched roof is about 90 years old. It is designed to store hay in the top and house dairy cows on the ground floor. The broken windows and sagging roof crest indicate that roof frames are beginning to decay.

What a beautiful barn (nicely captured) - a lot of love and hard work went into its making I think. V
PS Love John's rant :)

What an attractive barn, well captured in that light. It's a pity if the roof is starting to go.

that magnitude of barn speaks of a successful farming operation...the building is awe inspiring, and the light falls on it so kindly at this moment..

Amazing barn! Good light and well shot!
Took a small forest to build it and skilled carpenters to build. Could you imagine if it was built today? One way it could happen would to start a YouTube channel. Then hope Home Depot or Lowes picks up sponsorship of the project. Then HGTV picks it up too . Pretty soon Mike Homes and Ty Pennington are making into a design contest… You can see where this going. It will be more exciting than when they made “An Officer and A Gentleman” over in Port Townsend.
It will be sad when or if they let it drop. There are few barns left around here. They died of neglect and big storms crush them though there are a few left.
