Snow Camping 2006

Nathan and I spent saturday night camped out in the snow with Boy Scout Troop 251. In the morning after the gear was packed out of the igloos the boys climbed on top of their igloos to show how strong the igloo are.

The group of us (12) built 5 igloos and one snow cave. We get faster as we move from one to the next. The first one was completed a little over an hour from the time we started. The last one took about 30 minutes. Mark

Overnight the temperature dipped below 20F during the day the temperature was just below freezing. The inside of the igloo I slept in warmed up enough to drip a few drops early in the morning. Mark
