Located in East Berlin during the Cold War, this station was the border crossing for German citizens. It was also the transfer station between two S-Bahn lines serving West Berlin.
After the reunification, this station was completely renovated. The Berlin Stadtbahn shown here is the major east-west railway thoroughfare.
