On 9/11, 6 brave men of Ladder 118 raced across the Brooklyn Bridge to join their Engine 205 colleagues at the WTC inferno. They were assigned to evacuate the Marriott World Trade Center, a 22-story hotel between the twin towers. All six perished as the South Tower collapsed on top of the Marriott.
A total of 8 firefighters from Engine 205 died on that day.
