The 410 meter long Finger Wharf in Woolloomooloo Bay was built in 1911-15. By the 80's, container shipments have rendered it obsolete. Its demolition was stopped in 1991 by public outcry. Instead, it was renovated as a boutique hotel and luxury residences. Celebrity residents include actor Russell Crowe.
