Near the bottom, above the center door is the gilded mosaic “The Last Judgment”. On the top is the Winged Lion of St. Mark with an open book. In between, on the balcony, are four bronze horses. They dated back to the antiquity. They were looted from Constantinople during the Fourth Crusade. Like most Italian outdoor antiques, these are replicas. The originals have been moved to the museum inside the church to protect them from the environment.
