Our walking tour of the Gion 祇園 area started from the Yasaka Shrine 八坂神社.
We knew that catching a glimpse of a real geisha at this early hour is unlikely. We were delighted to meet 3 young ladies in kimono in the narrow alley of Hanami-Koji 花見小路.
