Here on the ground of Asakusa Temple 浅草寺, Tokyo’s oldest temple, on a side street off Nakamise-dōri 仲見世通り, half of us ate hot pot rice at this restaurant. The other half had sashimi at another place half a block down.

After lunch the rain stopped. We were able to stroll around the temple in relative dryness.
We returned to our bus through the ancient Nitenmon Gate.
