Tree House designed by David Rockwell for the Mastro's Ocean Club restaurant at the Crystals designed by architect Daniel Libeskind.
Rockwell complements Libeskind’s multi-faceted structure with curved natural materials to give people a sense of walking through a park. However, there is not a single public park bench in sight. I think Rockwell bows to the wish of this high-end mall’s owner by not making it a place for hanging out. Instead of awed by Libeskind’s soaring interior, visitors can feel comfortable to be a part of the conspicuous consumptions.
