The 37,580 ton MS Celestyal Olympia started its life in 1982 as the Royal Caribbean Song of America. Although it lacks the variety of amenities on a modern day mega cruise-ship, it serves our need well as a comfortable transportation to take us to 5 destinations in 3 days. For those of us that enjoy excursions on exotic destinations more than relaxing on a floating resort, it is the ideal ship. Being smaller, it can dock at ports closer to destinations. With less passengers, disembark and embark are faster. Its itinerary has no idle “day at sea”, which we consider a waste of valuable vacation time.
