The Canon EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM is made only for the EOS M series of mirror-less cameras. It would not mount on any Canon EOS DSLRs.
Although the EOS M, like all other mirror-less cameras, suffers from slow auto focus, making it unsuitable for action shots, taking photos of food is not a limitation. Being a light weight camera, it is less stable than a DSLR pressed against my forehead. Nevertheless, with my elbows resting on tabletops, this image-stabilized (IS) lens allows surprisingly slow shutter speed, making photography inside dark restaurants possible without disturbing other diners with my flash.
The EOS M mounted with this kit zoom lens fits in the pocket of my jacket. It is my go everywhere camera.
Loved the food pic`s but most are overexposed with highlights blown.
