Sunset

British Columbia

Based on my previous posts you will see I have a penchant for
still water and a rock somewhere in the foreground.
I know, predictable and boring. :)

There was no sunset colour on this afternoon.

AF-S NIKKOR 16-35mm f/4G ED VR

Possibly predictable, but certainly not boring. An incredibly, well done, gallery worthy, long exposure masterpiece. ~VVV~

Peter,

Soft and hard edges is the recipe for many a great image if you study the masters. This is so well done and as noted below the rock in the foreground brings it all together. How many stops was your ND filter for this?

Fantastic!
I am also guilty of capturing a rock in the foreground. I must be
allergic to your lovely recipe. The LE has a wonderful effect on the sky
and reflection and sets a strong mood!

Outstanding effect! V

My eyes were so riveted to the gleaming background hill and stunning sky, I have to admit I didn't see the foreground until last. A stunning shot Peter!
Boring? NOT!

Wonderful use of light, the white pops out and the shadows are so very strong

Predictable? Perhaps, but nothing wrong with looking forward to something enjoyable. Boring? Not even close to being the case.

Wonderful exposure. B&W works very nicely here. Good stuff!

Excellent work, Peter. With a really nice sense of the scale of the landscape.

Fabulous work with this long exposure. And I love that rock in the foreground for perspective.
