This derelict church, at the time undergoing restoration, is situated beside
the railway tracks of the Canadian Pacific Railway's Notch Hill Loop in the
Southern Interior of British Columbia.
Snow was falling lightly as a friend and I drove out there to shoot before the
restoration was completed. A train was sitting still, engines idling, behind
the church. As dusk fell the snowfall increased. We were about to leave when
the train Engineer turned on the headlights.
