Tomtit

Arthur's Pass

One of the very few endemic passerines found in New Zealand. 13 cm. Common endemic. I only saw it in native forest which is scarce except for in parts of Western South Island.
This little bird was so tame I could almost pick it up in my hands. Not sure if it was sick.
