For some reason I have been fascinated by the Brown-breasted Flycatcher for some time. I first saw it in Southern China, never in Thailand but on Sri Lanka it seemed to be very common in wooded areas. I was hoping to hear it but alas that was not to be. While checking Xeno-canto for recordings I found only 1.....so most likely a quiet bird at most times...
Note the broad base of the bill and the warm wash of the breast.
