As I browsed this gallery, I wondered what family the Harlequin was placed in, and why that wasn't obvious to me. Then I looked up to discover Riodinidae, the butterfly family I've never encountered ('tis rare in Australia with just one species, that with a very restricted range). What an interesting species.
