3 Amigos visited Thailand between 10-18th of March. They are all professionals in their respective fields and has limited time for extended holidays but still manage to pull off a united overseas trip annually.
We spent 10-12th in the Paktaley, Lampakbia area and the remainder at Kaengkrachan National Park and surroundings.
We used a comfortable Toyota Commuter and only switched to 4WD for the trip up to Panern Thung.
We stayed at www.baanmaka.com for the most but also enjoyed our stay in Petchaburi town.
Birding never really stopped with these guys who maximized all daylight hours. Yet, there was no signs of stress for any ‘missed birds’ but more of an honest gratitude towards things seen.
Food was in abundance, and since they all were from Sand Francisco where Asian cuisine is common, the spicy food here in Thailand was much appreciated.
We visited feeding stations for a day and a half. Did lower part of KK 2 days, upper part 1 day. The rest with shorebirds and fields.
