I observe some slight perspective distortion in your picture of the Lippo Center. This is usually caused by pointing camera upwarding. When I took this picture, I pointed my camera horizontally - because I was using a very wide angle lense and was far away enough from the subject. As a result the picture was almost free of perspective distortion.
That said, since I used a fisheye lense, I couldn't escape from the characteristic barrel distortion. This is the signature of a fisheye lense which you can observe in several other pictures in this gallery. For this particular photo, however, I decided to try a digital correction technique I newly came across. The result was quite impressive.
A DSLR is a very powerful tool. No doubt you will enjoy it very much. :)

With a wide angle len like this, the Lippo building can't be this kind of vertical to the ground. Did you adjust it by Photoshop?! Let's compare with mine. http://www.pbase.com/image/17319100 By the way, keep up the good work! I wanna to buy a Canon D60 or D10 as well!
