Molesworth is a government owned property siutated on a remote inland route
from Blenheim to Hanmer in the Northern part of New Zealand's South Island.
The route is approx 200 klms and is only open to the public for a few short
weeks over summer. From the North, the road follows the Awatere river up to
Molesworth, over Wards pass and then follows the Acheron river down to the
Clarence river, then up the Clarence river to one of two passes to the Thermal
Springs town of Hanmer. We mountain biked the route over two days starting
from Blenheim.
