How to Train a Mouse

Idalia NP - Queensland

This little mouse came to feed on the peanut butter and jam I'd put out
to attract nightly denizens. It was illuminated by a head torch as I
got a focus lock. Press the shutter... and from my perspective the photo
was taken instantly.

The fist shot, I thought it must have heard something and moved.... the next
shot I wasn't so sure... After 4 shots in a row, I was thinking that it
must have heard the shutter open (1/60th) and reacted before the flash
went off, a time frame I perceived as instantaneous! ... Wow!

And then it got used to whatever was scaring it... and fed happily
without moving... perseverance on both our parts!
