Platypus

Paddy's Flat - NSW

Platypus are most active during early morning or late evening
making lighting conditions almost always difficult. A few lucky
souls manage to get photos in direct sunlight in clear water
showing the whole animal....

My first impression of the thumbnail was that it must be a hippopotamus! Interesting perspective on a difficult-to-photograph species.
