Winter and very dark overcast. Still tried to catch this finch at high iso (6400) and high speed (1250s) at F8 with the D800, tripod and the 200-400 f4. With some noise, of course, the D800 still managed to do the job. Hardly any post processing, a little sharpening and color boosting. Great box! The flexibility and luminosity of the 200-400 helped a lot, unbeatable lens for small bird close ups.
