Rare Orsini viper taken with the D300 and the 17-55 in the afternoon just in front of the house. This protected species lives in this area only and is rarely seen. Colette and I managed to take a few shots at it before it slizzered under a bush. It can be aggresive and venimous and is about two feet long and as thick as a middle finger.
