M8 M20 & Great Sagittarius Star Cloud

Traveling Wilbury Observatory

The heart of our Milky Way pointing the way to the galactic centre. M8 is a wonderful large emission nebula within the massive star cloud. M8 the Messier designation, but is also called the Lagoon Nebula. M20 - Triffid Nebula is the smaller red/blue object. The dark lanes running through it - B85 noted by E.E. Barnard.
