Star-Trails ORION

Frostbite Falls

Set the camera on a tripod - point it at the stars - trip the shutter and wait 25 minutes.

This is the Great Orion Nebula in star trail form. The bright red streak at the bottom is the actual nebula - with the trapezium stars nearby. The major stars (giants) are the bright lines above. I covered the lens off and on to create the staggered effect. The faint solid red line with dots is an airplane with navigation lights.

You are still a film trail blazer in a digital world, wonderful revealing shot. V.
