Reality is setting in and I am not having much luck of trying to complete this series during our monsoon season. Yesterday was new Moon, so I didn't try to photograph --- and it was a crystal clear evening. This evening, the Moon was supposed to be in the general area marked by the dashed line, but we had a storm roll in from the southeast and slowing moving west. Because of this pattern, the clouds overtook the sky. There were a couple of bright flashes of lightning behind me and, being at a high point relative to the surrounding area, I decided to pack up and get off of the mountain.
