Economy Bedroom

Somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean

I just returned from a quick business trip to Frankfurt, Germany. This was my first time on an Airbus A380.
A huge aircraft, but the accommodations in Economy Class are very tight. Having gotten accustomed to traveling
in Business Class at previous companies, this particular flight (non-stop from San Francisco to Frankfurt) was shockingly uncomfortable.

Below, an image of the plane parked at the gate after arrival:

It sure is not what it used to be! Great capture of the airport action though...~V~

The airlines just keep squeezing in more seats... :-(

Nice quality capture Sam. We just got a taste of a 777 and it wasn't terribly squishy, at least for the first 3 hrs….it got worse and worse - and no food either!

Awful!! I flew a 767 to the UK and the man next to me decided it was ok to spread his legs out wide into my space the whole way. Very cool lighting.

I head to Germany next month - the plan is not to be "awake" - Hate trans-Atlantics.

Flying used to be enjoyable to some extent, now everyone dreads it.

This brings back memories of two weeks ago.Flew back from Hawaii and thought I was going to die! Never again...

Interesting that it was so uncomfortable! You would think with such a huge aircraft they might have had a few more inches to spare for passengers, instead of just filling it with more passengers.

it's unbearable to fly more than three or four hours in last-class.... its hard on the body for sure....

I never seem to be able to sleep very well on a plane anymore no matter what - even after a couple Ambien. I went on my only A380 ride in 2009 on Quantas in economy and it was ok, But compared to going overseas in business class, it was definitely way less comfortable.

Sleeping on airplane in roach coach doesn't happen anymore with the new tight seating configuration. Nice interior shot and explanation Sam

a good night's sleep does seem problematic here...high quality image in difficult conditions...V
