Kitt Peak Shadow

Kitt Peak National Observatory Complex view map

Another reason why I haven't been too active on PBase. I bought a used Honda Shadow VLX 600
motorcycle because I wanted to learn to ride before I got too old. I've since taken a couple motorcycle safety
courses, got my license, and now am in practice mode. I took a ride up to Kitt Peak to get some
experience on winding roads. Had an absolute blast. This shot captures the essence of my three
favorite hobbies: astronomy, photography and, now, motorcycling.

Below, wondering where to put the key to start the darn thing.... ;-)

You are certainly over dressed for this small bike!

Cool ride, Sam. Reminds me of riding in the Santa Cruz mountains on my little 250.

Now we know why you built that big garage - you've been kicked out of the house after buying the motorcycle - ha ha just kidding! Have fun and stay safe :-)

Easy rider! You'll enjoy the open road all year round, unlike here where the bikes get put away for the winter. V

Very, very cool Sam. Good for you my friend. I did a lot of motorcycling in the 70's. Great memories.

Nice place for a shot and ride - and after being there I can understand and appreciate 361 days of ride-ability.
