Martian Space Port

Willcox, AZ

Well, not exactly. This feature is on the Willcox Playa in SE Arizona.
I am not sure what exactly is the cause but suspect these are man made.
Taken from about 18,000 feet, with a fairly significant crop in this comp.

other sizes: small medium original auto

This must be it: (LA Times Article) On the Playa, the bizarre is ordinary. After World War II, the military used the site as a practice bombing range. But vibration from explosions cracked the walls of buildings in Willcox. State Sen. Gus Arzberger, who grew up at Kansas Settlement on the Playa's edge, was working at an auto dealership when a bomb shattered its plate glass window.

Complaints ended the bombing, but the military kept using it as a gunnery range. Low-flying planes strafed targets with .50-caliber machine guns. But Arzberger says that practice also ended when ricocheting bullets killed cows three miles away.

Very Cool! Check out : https://goo.gl/maps/cto6W I wonder if someone was looking for some dissolved minerals in the old Wilcox playa? Certainly not a "Crop Circle".

Very interesting! Never noticed from the ground, and I've been by there many times. Unique capture.

That is so intriguing, I've spent a lot of hours in the air and have never seen anything like that...V

I truly hope that this "target" wasn't created by visitors. It certainly is a very interesting image. Captured from 18k feet, it appears to be a pretty large "crop circle". They seem to be very common in Arizona ... I guess they hold their meetings there!

It certainly appears to be some type of target..
Nice image, Sam...

I like that a lot. I love UFO related stuff even if it is only something that looks like it.

It is fascinating. I never saw a picture of it.

I agree with Globalgadabout. Anyway : makes a very nice image ! V.
globalgadabout06-Dec-2013 06:46
seems a remote location for such a circumscribed space...a relic from an earlier society perhaps, a bit of a Nazca-north?...
Helen Betts06-Dec-2013 06:00
Well, it does look like some sort of alien landing pad! Well spotted and captured, Sam.
Being Me06-Dec-2013 03:45
Hope it's not a target for the aliens!
