2nd Pass of Space Shuttle over Tucson

Tucson, AZ

Tonight had two passes of the Space Station and Shuttle Discovery over Tucson. We had lots of dust in
the air from recent winds, so the Shuttle is not all that bright against the sky in this image. A plus
was catching a meteor and then noticing that the Andromeda Galaxy was also in the image. This shot was
taken looking towards the west-northwest.

The International Space Station (below) came into view about a minute after Discovery (STS-133)

I wasn't able to catch the Shuttle on its first pass over Tucson,
but did catch the Space Station on its first pass (below). This
shot was taken looking to the east-northeast about 1.5 hours
earlier than the previous shots:

Canon EOS 7D ,Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L USM
Tripod, 30 second exposure full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Very cool! I'm still inexperienced with dark sky, star shots. These are wonderful.
