Filigree Skimmer Dragonfly - Female

I know this may look like I placed a dead specimen on a rock, but this one is very much alive and happened to be sunning itself upon this rock.

Sam,
This had to be the most outrageous looking dragonfly I've ever seen. This species has evolved into a perfect camouflaged dragonfly. Good thing he perched on that rock or you might never have seen him. They must be an uncommon species.
