A favourite moment for me was when we spotted this red fox with very unusual colour and markings hunting for mice in a frozen meadow.

Our snow coach guide told us that in late January, he had worked with a film crew for two weeks in -20 to -30 degree weather to track and film this particular animal. The closest they got was over 300 metres distance and they left empty handed. We simply got out of our coach and shot for 20 minutes in perfect light as the fox went about his activities with little notice of us.

Another "Rather be lucky than skilled" moment, at least for me!
