After a couple hours of intense Tuscan dawn and sunrise photography near San Gimignano(I can hear the small,no, very small, violins playing), I was just packing up when I heard someone call out to me, from above. Since I was quite sure that God would know how pathetic my Italian is, and would likely choose to converse with me in English, I looked to the top of the olive trees where Luigi showed his face. With my best "Bon Journo (sp?) pronunciation copied from the fat Italian guy in "Groundhog Day" who I have seen again and again and again ... I gestured to my camera and asked for a shot. He obliged with great gusto and a theatric gesture that made this one of my favs.
