A little R&R with my sweetie in Veradero and Havana. Cuba has been in a time warp for the last 50+ years. Great for photography (Canadians and European visitors, mostly) ... but really tough on the friendly folks that have to live their lives there with no options to leave or improve. About time for big brothers (on both "sides") to chill out over the cold war half a century ago ... lives are a-wasting with such a no-win situation.
Enjoy.

Cuba is one of those rare places where photography is easy and a real treat. Actually it was almost too much too comprehend ... great images at every turn! Friendly and interesting people, amazing beaches and resorts, beautiful turn of the 20th century buildings crumbling with 50+ years of neglect, dinosaur cars from the 40's and 50's still running (somewhat). I would love to go back and explore the wilderness and wildlife areas which are some of the most fertile and unspoiled on earth.
